Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in general contracting, kitchen and bath remodels, plumbing, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will oversee remodeling projects from design handoff to final installation, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires excellent client communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades and stakeholders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Pre-Construction

  • Review design plans, measurements, and scopes of work for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Identify potential construction challenges and provide proactive solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments to verify structural, plumbing, and electrical requirements.
  • Develop project timelines, coordinating all trades and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure design intent aligns with construction feasibility.

Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate timelines, updates, and changes clearly and professionally.
  • Manage expectations around costs, schedules, and potential challenges.

Construction Oversight & Quality Control

  • Supervise all trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and installation teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards.
  • Verify installations of cabinetry, appliances, countertops, and finishing details.
  • Oversee punch lists and final inspections to ensure project completion meets expectations. 

Technical Expertise

  • Apply hands-on knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general construction to anticipate and solve field challenges.
  • Advise designers and clients on feasibility, alternatives, and best practices.

Budgeting, Materials & Logistics

  • Monitor project budgets, invoices, and change orders, ensuring a healthy margin is maintained.
  • Track material orders, deliveries, and ensure correct items are on-site.
  • Address potential delays due to material lead times or backorders proactively.

Problem Solving & Documentation

  • Quickly resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Document changes, decisions, and communication for accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and manufacturer specifications.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, coordinators, installers, and store management.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support sales and design teams with field insights on feasibility and costs.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Conduct final client walkthroughs and ensure all punch list items are completed.
  • Maintain a professional and client-focused approach to enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Gather client feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management, remodeling, or general contracting.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, and cabinetry installation.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen and bath design and construction processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of building codes, permits, and construction safety standards.

  • Experience with high-end kitchen and bath remodels.
  • Familiarity with project management software and design tools.
