Regional Medical Director - Clinical Trials Program
Job Description
Kaiser Permanente Northern California is seeking a Regional Medical Director to lead its Clinical Trials Program.
This senior leadership role will provide strategic and scientific oversight of the Clinical Trials Program across Northern California, ensuring excellence in research, innovation, and patient care. The Regional Medical Director will also represent Kaiser Permanente Northern California at the level, advancing the organization’s leadership in clinical trials.
In addition, this position will guide the Division of Research with vision and administrative leadership, partnering with executive leaders to plan, support, and execute initiatives that shape the future of clinical research at Kaiser Permanente.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
- MD or DO required; board certification in a medical specialty.
Experience:
- Minimum 5–7 years of clinical practice experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in clinical trials, preferably within an integrated health system or medical group setting.
- Prior leadership experience in clinical research or medical administration .
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to inspire and mentor physicians and clinical trial support staff.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to health equity and innovation in patient care.
Full-time annual salary range is $310,439.00 to $320,040.00. Final salary will be discussed during the interview process.
