About the Role
Were looking for a skilled Refrigeration Field Technician to join our commercial and industrial HVAC/R team. This hands-on role involves installing, servicing, and maintaining refrigeration systems, ranging from halocarbon to ammonia-based setups, across a wide range of facilities.

Youll work closely with our service manager, dispatch, and office team to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
What Youll Be Doing
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC/R systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of refrigeration equipment
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA, EPA, local, and union codes and standards
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
- Accurately record labor, materials, and service details on job tickets
- Respond to emergency service requests when needed
- Maintain truck stock and ensure proper use of tools and safety gear
- Assist with crane signaling and equipment placement when required
- Report safety concerns, service trends, or customer issues promptly
What Were Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical school or refrigeration trade training
- 25+ years of hands-on HVAC/R field service experience
- EPA Refrigerant Certification (required)
- Familiarity with commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and control systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- D2 or S2 license
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in varied physical environments
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight on job sites

Physical & Work Environment
This is a physically active field role. Technicians must be comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms. Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, lifting, and reaching are required throughout the workday.
