Refrigeration Engineer
Refrigeration Engineer (Food Manufacturing) Monday to Friday, Day Shift If your idea of a good day’s work involves keeping complex refrigeration systems running smoothly (without anyone noticing they’re even there), this might be the role for you. It’s with a well-established food manufacturer in Norfolk. They’re after a Refrigeration Engineer who knows their way around ammonia systems, compressors, cooling towers, effluent, etc. You’ll be the person keeping blast freezers, cold stores and critical kit running safely, efficiently, and within regs. What you’ll be doing: Maintenance, installs, and repairs across refrigeration/HVAC systems Troubleshooting when things go wrong (because they always do eventually) Preventative maintenance so they go wrong less often Accurate record-keeping on repairs and refrigerant usage Working alongside production and engineering to keep downtime low Making sure everything is safe, compliant, and audit-proof What you’ll need: Ammonia handling certificate Solid experience with ammonia systems Familiarity with blast freezers and cold store systems Bonus if you’ve worked in FMCG and know your way around effluent or steam systems A hands-on, pragmatic approach — someone who fixes problems, not just points at them Why apply? Monday–Friday office hours (rare for this kind of role) Strong package including pension, life assurance and company specific benefits (free stuff) A chance to work with modern kit in a business that values engineering Please apply with an up to date copy of your CV.
