Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:
LSEG is seeking a skilled Real-Time Cloud Architect to design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions to facilitate low latency distribution of real-time content. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms and collaborating with multi-functional teams to architect scalable, secure and highly performant solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Designing and implementing real-time distribution solutions applying Azure and AWS cloud- services.

Migrating existing on-prem applications to Azure and AWS cloud.

Remediating solutions to meet RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) targets.

Participate in technical governance reviews and ensure alignment to standards.

Conduct feasibility studies and recommend technology stacks.

Developing and implementing strategies to enhance cloud financial management (FinOps).

Define and document APIs, data models, and integration points.

Identify and mitigate technical risks in the architecture.

Build prototypes or PoCs to validate system designs and technologies.

Prepare presentations and reports for team members and management.

Perform technical audits to verify system regulatory and security compliance.

Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.

Collaborate with business and product teams to translate high-level requirements into an executable design.

Lead meetings with internal customers and effectively negotiate expectations.

Develop a broad knowledge of LSEG business strategies and our product portfolio.

Innovate on new and improved uses of technology to meet business objectives.

Understand the impact of new technologies and their technical impacts to supported systems.

Collaborate with peers, architects and managers to understand strategy and how best to operationalize it across our cloud environments.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Expert level understanding of:

• Azure AKS
• Azure load balancers
• Azure PrivateLink
• Azure ExpressRoute
• AWS ECS
• AWS load balancers
• AWS PrivateLink
• AWS DirectConnect

Experience with:

• Real-time systems, especially for real-time financial market data
• LSEG's RTDS platform is helpful
• Technology governance and standards (TOGAF, NIST, OWASP, FinOps)
• Observability and business intelligence reporting:
  • BigPanda
  • DataDog
  • Snowflake

Private line connectivity, especially in large-scale customer-facing delivery contexts:

• AWS DirectConnect
• Azure ExpressRoute
• Cloud to Cloud NaaS

Automation:

• GitLab
• Terraform
• Python

Experience and Qualifications:

• Crucial - At least 5-10 years' experience of solution architecture, preferably within a large organization.
• Crucial - Azure Solution Architect Expert
• Crucial - AWS Certified Solutions Architect - at least to Associate level
• - Confirmed experience of real-time market data systems, or similar domain that has a significant dependency on large-scale, event-based messaging platforms (energy, IoT, video gaming, industrial control systems, etc.)
