We are seeking an individual to fill our Operations Manager position, which also includes being our Morning Show Host.
Radio Morning Show Host Monday - Friday 6a - 10a for an upbeat AC station.
Radio Operations Manager who will oversee the daily on-air operations of the radio station, ensuring smooth broadcasting and adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day Operations: Managing the overall functionality of the radio station, including on-air programming and technical aspects.
- Programming: Develop and implement programming schedules, ensuring they align with the station’s goals and target audience.
- Technical Management: Coordinate with our engineering staff to address technical issues and plan for upgrades.
- Compliance: Ensuring the station operates within legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Communication: Liaising with other departments (sales, marketing, etc.) to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.
- Strategic Planning: Contributing to the station's long-term goals and initiatives.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving operational issues, troubleshooting technical problems, and handling on-air incidents.
- Maintaining Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with advertisers, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Audience Engagement: Working to build audience engagement and support station revenue goals.
- Promotional Activities: Overseeing the creation and scheduling of promotional spots and imaging for the station.
- Filling in for Other Roles: Required to fill in for Production Manager in their absence.
Skills:
- Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage resources effectively, and make sound decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, stakeholders, and the public.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of radio broadcasting technology and equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve operational and technical issues.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Wide Orbit and Visual Traffic a plus!
