RF Design Engineer

Location: Cowes (Portsmouth may be considered)

Hourly Rate: £60 PAYE or £81.05 Umbrella

Contract Duration: 6 months

Working Pattern: 3–4 days per week on-site

Are you a senior RF Design Engineer with a passion for next-gen radar systems? We’re looking for a highly skilled contractor to join a growing team, delivering a brand-new design from the ground up – not R&D, but real-world build and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and verification of advanced RF hardware solutions.
• Work across disciplines to bring complex electronics from concept to production.
• Define and execute test plans, and oversee test equipment setup and use.
• Ensure RF design meets technical and quality assurance standards.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Several years of hands-on RF engineering experience.
• Strong background in electronics and PCB design.
• Deep understanding of RF requirements and design principles.
• Experience with RF design assurance processes and techniques.
• Ability to write and implement comprehensive test plans.

Desirable:

• Background in radar or defence sectors .
• Will also consider candidates from telecoms or related industries.

• Must be eligible to go through UK security clearance processes.
