Quantity Surveyor - Wigan



£45,000 to £65,000 + Package

Your new role



Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their successful commercial team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS looking to advance their career within a stable, growing business where your contribution will be valued and recognised.



Responsibilities will include:



Preparing and submitting Applications for Payment.



Managing early warnings, variations, and change control processes.



Working closely with Contracts Managers to gather, review and manage project information.



Producing accurate invoices and overseeing the payment monitoring process.



Completing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and reporting commercial performance.



Managing retentions, ensuring timely release and compliance.



Checking, verifying and managing subcontractor and supplier orders.



Agreeing final accounts and handling client queries professionally.



Preparing commercial reports for Directors and supporting business decision-making.



What you will need to succeed:



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, surfacing, highways, or related sectors.



Strong understanding of commercial processes, valuations, variations, and CVRs.



Excellent communication and negotiation skills.



Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.



High level of accuracy and attention to detail.



Strong organisational and workload-management skills.



Proficiency in relevant contract forms and commercial systems.
