Job Title Quantity Surveyor Location Staffordshire Industry Sub Stations and T&D Package Competitive basic plus company car, Pension, 25 days holiday This is an outstanding opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and financially secure business. Due to growth and succession planning, the company is increasing head count within this department. Substation and T&D experience is not necessary, just solid mechanical or electrical knowledge and skills within a QS focussed role. With outstanding opportunities for career advancement this is not a chance to be missed. Role - Prepare tenders, quotations, costings and estimates for HV Substation works - Interpret contracts and terms and conditions for contracts - Understanding costings and pricing for all materials, labour and equipment - Relationships with external contact and internal stake holders - Post tender analysis of both successful and unsuccessful bids. Skills and experience - Quantity Surveyor experience - Estimating, tendering, costing or quotation experience - Electrical or mechanical experience and qualifications - Communication skills - Ability to work as part of a team - Desire and ability to learn
