GBR Recruitment are working exclusively in partnership with a well established & highly progressive full turnkey industrial & commercial construction company based in Newark, recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (non chartered) to manage multiple new build industrial & commercial build projects.



You will be responsible for all budgets & costs, from the initial site inception stage right through to full build completion / handover.



You will prepare accurate monthly site valuations (CVR's) working on build projects covering Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire & other areas close to these.



You must be a QS that is strong in CDM 2015 knowledge / experience & worked on varying size & value Construction projects across multiple sectors (£M's).

Overview of the QS Role:



* To assist with managing multiple build projects from initial inception to completion / client handover



* Effectively assisting in the management of all site budgets & costs for multiple projects across multiple sites & end using sectors.



* Assisting with the preparation of accurate monthly site valuations (CVR’s)



* Arranging weekly / fortnightly / monthly payments of direct labour & subcontractor labour trades



* Analyse & review sub-contractor invoices/applications



* Keep Payment Record Sheets up-to-date following completion of each payment run



* Prepare & complete monthly cost / value reconciliation



* Prepare sub-contractor procurement tender list for sign off by the SMT



* Prepare tender documents / bid packs, sending them out to the relevant sub-contractors for the pricing of services



* Analyse tenders upon return & awarding of tenders based on price, quality & timescales of delivery achievable



* Carry out pre-order meetings with sub-contractors



Attributes:



* Quantity Surveying professional (QS or Senior QS), with experience across most build types (a couple of several different build types is ideal) due to the variation of building works carried out.



* Must be strong in CDM 2015 & varied Construction works (£M projects)



* Bsc Hons Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction related degree or time served in a QS capacity (all considered).



* Strong written & verbal communication skills & strong negotiation skills



* Able to carry out QS tasks with minimal supervision.

This position is 5 working days (Monday to Friday) in the office or out on the clients



construction sites, some hybrid working maybe available odd days too.
