Job Description

Overview\n\nQS/Estimator\n\n * Up to 65K depending on experience\n\n * Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Based in Tower Bridge\n\n * Estimating/QS responsibilities day to day including pricing tenders, applications, Purchase Orders and contract negotiations, Final Accounting etc\n\n * Immediate Start \n\n * Expenses Paid\n\nWe are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate cost estimates and maintain effective cost control measures.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.\n\n * Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial plans.\n\n * Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost implications.\n\n * Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to provide financial insights and advice.\n\n * Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors to ensure value for money.\n\n * Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.\n\n * Implement cost control measures and report on variances against budget.\n\n * Assist in the preparation of final accounts and settlement of disputes.\n\nQualifications\n\n * A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.\n\n * Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry is .\n\n * Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.\n\n * Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.\n\n * Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.\n\n * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\n\n * Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is advantageous but not mandatory.
