Here, you’ll collaborate with an experienced group, managing the commercial aspects of this exciting venture. Your role will be pivotal in maximizing value and profitability while ensuring compliance with commercial processes.

Location: St Neots with travel between Bedford and Cambridge – hybrid working

\n

Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week (some flexibility available)

\n

Your Responsibilities\n

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Kier East West Rail team in delivering commercial excellence. Your daily tasks will include:

\n
• Assisting with contract valuations and ensuring timely, accurate applications for payment.

\n

• Leading sub-contractor management from enquiry to completion, including compiling enquiries and analyzing tenders.

\n

• Collaborating closely with the project manager on cost control and forecasting site expenditure.

\n

• Identifying and raising contract changes through Early Warnings and Compensation Events.

\n

• Providing leadership and support to junior commercial staff, aiding in their development.

\n

What We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for someone who:

\n

\n
• Holds a Degree, HNC, or similar qualification in Quantity Surveying.

\n

• Has prior experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a Tier 1 main contractor.

\n

• Is proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and enjoys working with data.

\n

• Builds strong relationships and communicates confidently with diverse teams.

\n

• Is organized, manages time effectively, and can handle multiple priorities.

\n
