Job Description
An opportunity to work on our KierBAM JV project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works within Devonport Royal Dockyard over the coming years.\n\nPAYE basis\n\n£350 - £430 per day depending on experience/qualifications\nPaid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)\n\nMust Have:\n• Professionally qualified operator and/or Graduate Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC, BSc, MSc or equivalent).\n• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction/civils/infrastructure projects.\n• Fully conversant and experienced with NEC Contracts.\n• CSCS White PQP/AQP Card.\n• Experience with subcontractor management, valuations and payments.\n• Experience preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports and forecasts.\n• Commercially aware with strong contractual knowledge.\n• Experience monitoring budgets and forecasting project spend.\n• Strong communication and client-facing skills.\n• Experience managing change control procedures and commercial risks.\n• Confident IT skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.\n• Experience using Coins/Causeway accounting systems .\n• Experience with CEMAR desirable but not essential.\n• Strong organisational and time management skills.\n• Ability to work within a highly skilled and diverse team environment.\n• Full UK Driving Licence.\n• Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.\n• Professional Accreditation such as RICS/ICE desirable.\n• Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance.\n• Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.\n\nThis role is site based - Monday to Friday\n45 hours per week 08:00am - 17:30pm\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide commercial and contractual support to the management and delivery teams\nPrepare financial and contractual performance forecasts\nEnsure business targets and KPI’s are achieved or exceeded\nMonitor and maximise project cash flow ensuring payments are made and received on time\nPrepare and review monthly cost reports and monitor project trends\nForecast and monitor spend against approved client budgets\nCarry out measurement of works and agreement with clients and subcontractors\nManage subcontractor accounts including certification, valuation and payment processes\nManage subcontractor enquiries, negotiations, procurement and final account agreements\nImplement and maintain contract change control procedures\nAssess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks\nMaintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders\nEnsure compliance with company commercial procedures and standards\nSupport the successful delivery of major infrastructure and defence projects\n\nSome Benefits:\n\nPension\nTraining and upskilling provided\nSafe working environment\nLife Insurance\nSecure regular income\n\nLodge/Digs can be available.\n\nSo, if you want to work for a main contractor that cares about their tradesperson, then this is your opportunity to apply and join the project now!\n\nReliable Contractors Limited are passionate about Equality and continuously working towards best practice and adhering to government legislation.\nWe are a firm believer in Fairness and Respect
