Job Description

We are working alongside a long standing client who are a market-leading main contractor based in Oxfordshire and are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Special Works Division, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects valued up to £4m.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly established and reputable business, known for delivering high-quality construction projects. Working within a dynamic and supportive team, you will gain exposure to a wide range of refurbishment and new build projects.\nThe Role\nAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, across a varied mix of works including:\n * \n Heritage refurbishment projects across universities and colleges\n * \n New build projects\n * \n Minor works and specialist refurbishment schemes\n * \n Projects ranging up to £4m in value\nYou will play a key role in ensuring commercial success, working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients.\nKey Responsibilities\n * \n Managing project costs from inception to completion\n * \n Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers\n * \n Contract administration and risk management\n * \n Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts\n * \n Cost reporting and forecasting\n * \n Supporting project delivery teams to ensure commercial performance\n * \n Building and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships\nRequirements\n * \n Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment\n * \n Experience delivering refurbishment and/or new build projects\n * \n Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills\n * \n Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\n * \n Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills\n * \n Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) \nWhat’s on Offer\n * \n Opportunity to join a market-leading, established contractor\n * \n Varied and interesting project portfolio\n * \n Supportive and collaborative team environment\n * \n Clear career progression opportunities\n * \n Competitive salary and benefits package\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a respected contractor, working on meaningful projects across Oxfordshire’s education and heritage sectors.\nIf you would like to discuss this opportunity in more detail get in contact
