The Contractor \n\nOur client is a Tier 2 Contractor located in the East Midlands, they deliver projects across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, residential, commercial and public sector developments. They are known for their collaborative, long standing client relationships and focus on quality, safety and sustainability through the construction process.\n\nThe Role - Quantity Surveyor \n\nDue to expansion and further growth our client is seeking an experienced commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their team. this role offers the opportunity to manage the financial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial success while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManaging subcontract procurement from tender through to award\nPreparing and issuing subcontract documentation\nCost planning and budget management\nManaging subcontractor payments, valuations, and variations\nMonitoring project costs and reporting to senior management\nSupporting with monthly CVRs and financial reporting\nManaging risk and ensuring contractual compliance\nContributing to final account negotiationsEducation, Skills and Experience:\n\nDegree-qualified (or equivalent) in BSc Quantity Surveying & Construction Management Proven experience working for a main contractor (Tier 1 or Tier 2 ).\nStrong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT and/or NEC).\nExcellent negotiation and communication skills.\nCommercially aware with strong analytical capability.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management software
