Job Description
Quantity Surveyor – Major Projects (Passive Fire Protection)\n Salary: Up to £65,000 \n Location: London (Hybrid working available)\n\n We are partnered with a leading organisation within the passive fire protection sector, seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Major Projects division. This is an excellent opportunity to support the commercial delivery of large-scale, high-value projects and contribute to the ongoing growth of a rapidly developing business.\n\n We welcome applications from candidates with a minimum of 2–3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within a construction or specialist subcontracting environment. Exposure to major projects or Tier 1 contractor settings would be highly advantageous.\n\n The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of major passive fire protection projects from tender through to completion, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control and contractual compliance.
You will work closely with clients and internal delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and long-term partnership development.\n\n Key Responsibilities\nManage project costs, valuations, variations and final accounts.\n\nSupport tendering activities, pricing and commercial proposals.\n\nMonitor project commercial performance and profitability.\n\nPrepare accurate monthly reporting, forecasting and cost analysis.\n\nReview contracts and manage commercial risks and change control.\n\nWork collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure programme success.\n\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships.\n\nContribute to process improvements and commercial development initiatives.\n\nAbout You\nMinimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role.\n\nExperience delivering high-value construction or passive fire protection works (Major Projects experience desirable).\n\nDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.\n\nStrong analytical, reporting and financial management capability.\n\nExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nProactive, organised and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.\n\nRelationship-driven with a commercial mindset and focus on quality delivery.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\nUp to £65,000 salary (dependant on experience)\n\nOpportunity to work on major, high-profile passive fire projects\n\nClear development and progression pathways\n\nStrong, supportive and collaborative business culture\n\nHybrid working and flexible working environment\n\nOpportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the division\n\nV7 Recruitment are an equal opportunities employer and are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.\n\nV7 Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the grounds of , , , reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, or maternity, race, or belief, , or .
