Quantity Surveyor Location: London Salary: Up to £50,000 Responsibilities: Provide robust support to on-site project teams, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and maintaining the financial integrity of projects. Monitor project costs against budget, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability. Manage and assess variations and changes to the scope of work; prepare and submit cost proposals and claims accurately and on time. Support and manage monthly valuations, cost/value reconciliations, and financial forecasts for internal and external stakeholders. Identify commercial risks and opportunities, supporting strategic decision-making to protect the organisation. Administer main contracts and subcontracts in accordance with legal and company procedures. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. commercial, finance, design & engineering, legal) and external stakeholders (clients, consultants, subcontractors) to ensure project success. Develop, implement, and maintain effective business practices. Negotiate contract pricing with suppliers when necessary. Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships. Communicate relevant project and commercial information to management. Take responsibility for various special projects as required. Demonstrate the ability to interpret contract terms to formulate and substantiate claims, protecting margins and enhancing profitability through effective variation management. What we’re looking for: Experience within telecommunications infrastructure, ICT, or security project delivery. Background in delivering large-scale data centre or technical infrastructure projects. Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver client presentations clearly and confidently. Capacity to absorb and manage new technologies, services, and applications. Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Ability to develop, review, and improve project delivery documentation. Experience delivering services under formal subcontract arrangements. Skilled in commercial negotiations with main contractors across international regions. Essential Requirements: Extensive experience at project management level. Solid background in the IT or technology environment. Strong technical knowledge of industry project delivery processes. Sound understanding of contract scopes and deliverables. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Understanding of PRINCE2 standards. Relevant qualifications such as CTPM, PRINCE2, BICSI, ITIL Foundation, or MSP.
