Madisons Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis on behalf of an award winning specialist main contractor. Our clients head office is located in the Slough area, however this role would require commuting to projects nationwide - therefore applicants must be willing to travel.



Our client are a leading contractor, specialising in the design and construction of contemporary facilities. With a track record of hundreds of successful projects across Europe and the UK, they are a recognised D&B contractor in the car parking market across the UK.



This will be an office based/hybrid/site based role. 



Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:



Building and maintaining upon client relationships.

Commercially management of contracts: application preparation, Identify and value client change requests, managing client valuations.

Serve contract notices in accordance with the contract, and customer / company policy.

Sub-Contractor commercial management: Tendering process and negotiations, Placing orders, and contracts. Managing subcontractors’ applications, variations, payments, and final accounts.

Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and Customers’ representatives.

Project Reporting. Reporting to Senior staff; Compiling Monthly CVR Reports and commercial risk report and cost forecast.

Building and implementing systems of work within the QS department to achieve the above.

Quantity Surveyor requirements: 



Degree within Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying / equivalent qualification

5- 8 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management.

Knowledge in construction planning and understanding of construction execution.

Ability to manage contracts, calculations, and budgets

Positive, Self-assured and motivated

Productive, flexible and eager to learn

A natural leader, motivating and inspiring

Willing to travel across the country and abroad as required
