Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Urgent Requirement) Location: Hampstead, London Employment Type: Contract to Permanent Working Pattern: Flexible – 2 days on site, remainder working from home Start Date: Immediate Overview We are urgently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a high-end residential property build in Hampstead. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in valuations, cost management, and package management within the high-spec residential sector. The position begins on a contract basis with a clear opportunity to transition into a permanent role. Key Responsibilities * Manage all cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for the project. * Lead valuation processes, ensuring accurate monthly valuations and cost tracking. * Oversee package management, including procurement, tendering, negotiation, and subcontractor management. * Conduct site visits (2 days per week) to monitor progress, verify works, and assess variations. * Produce and maintain CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reports. * Manage contractual obligations, including variations, claims, and change control. * Work closely with project managers, design teams, and contractors to ensure the project’s financial integrity. * Maintain strong cost control measures and identify opportunities for value engineering. Requirements * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on high-end residential / luxury residential projects. * Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with valuations, CVRs, and package management. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams. * Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills. * Immediately available or able to start at short notice.
