Quantity Surveyor\n\nLocation: Nottinghamshire\nSalary: £50,000 – £70,000 + package\n\nWe are working with a highly regarded civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially stable and expanding business delivering projects across the UK.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from early-stage cost planning through to final account. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Manage project costs from pre-construction through to completion\n\n * Prepare valuations, cost reports, and forecasts\n\n * Administer subcontractor accounts, including payments and variations\n\n * Support tendering and pricing activities where required\n\n * Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities\n\n * Monitor project performance and report on financial position\n\n * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders\n\n * Assist in negotiating and agreeing final accounts\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering\n\n * Strong commercial awareness and cost control expertise\n\n * Experience managing projects through full lifecycle\n\n * Excellent negotiation and communication skills\n\n * Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar )\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive salary with attractive package\n\n * Opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projects\n\n * Stable, well-established business with strong growth\n\n * Clear progression opportunities within the commercial team
