Interim Quantity Surveyor

up to £550 per day (inside IR35)

A globally recognised engineering and defence organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Quantity Surveyor to support its commercial team on a portfolio of high-value, complex projects. This contract role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a secure and technically advanced environment, contributing to critical programmes.

• Lead cost management activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and procurement packages
• Provide commercial oversight across project delivery teams
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Administer contracts in line with agreed frameworks (NEC 3/4)
• Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and final accounts
• Support stakeholders with commercial and contractual advice

About You

• Demonstrable experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor in a contract/interim capacity
• Strong background in engineering, construction, infrastructure, or defence-related projects
• In-depth knowledge of NEC 3/4
• Highly organised with the ability to deliver in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CICES) is desirable
