A reputable civil engineering contractor are seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its team \n \nThey specialise across the civils arena but with a focus on projects that fall within water, waste water treatment and general utility infrastructure works - typically projects up to £3M in value\n\nThe Position \n\nThis role will be commercially involved in a portfolio of planned maintenance projects across the Devon area, whilst managing a Trainee QS and AQS \n\nReporting into the Commercial Manager, key responsibilities will include:  \n \nReview new / varied items and check quotations of new rates and conditions \nMaintain the timely submission of applications and final accounts  \nAssist with reviewing and commenting on tender documentation during tender period \nInternal reporting and forecasting \nAssist with subcontract management from negotiation and preparation of sub-contract orders \nPrepare and negotiate claims in conjunction with the senior management team. \nVetting of final accounts and preparing final account reports The Individual\n\nIf you are a QS or perhaps even an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a great team and help grow the region, this will be for you\n\nIdeally, you will have: \n \nCivil Engineering Qualification (Degree or Equivalent)  \nExperience in delivering similar sized contracts \nExperience in the water industry is but not essential  \nNEC4 experience  If this sounds familiar and you happen to be looking for a growing business which treats you as a person,  not just a number, then this opportunity is for you
