Job Description

Ivy Resource Group are working with a well-established contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Derby, working across a range of commercial projects including schools, hospitals, MOD bases, colleges, universities, and leisure centres.

\n \nThe Role\n

• \n

  Commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account

  \n

\n

• \n

  Preparing, reviewing, and managing project budgets and cost plans

  \n

\n

• \n

  Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

  \n

\n

• \n

  Valuations, variations, and final accounts administration

  \n

\n

• \n

  Ensuring projects remain within budget while maintaining quality and programme targets

  \n

\n

• \n

  Liaising with project teams, clients, and senior management on commercial matters

  \n

\n

\n \nThe Ideal Candidate\n

\n
• \n

  Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on commercial projects

  \n

\n

• \n

  Strong sector experience in education, healthcare, MOD, or leisure is advantageous

  \n

\n

• \n

  Experience within Tier 1 or well-established main contractors is desirable

  \n

\n

• \n

  Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

  \n

\n

• \n

  Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  \n

\n

• \n

  Stable career history demonstrating long-term commitment

  \n

\n

  Salary around £70,000 per annum
