We’re recruiting a skilled professional to support our Repairs & Maintenance and Capital Works programmes—ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective delivery for our ’ homes.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a team committed to improving housing standards, strengthening commercial control, and driving best value across the borough.\n\nKey responsibility's\n\n * Manage the commercial delivery of responsive repairs, voids, cyclical maintenance, and capital projects.\n\n * Monitor contractor performance, valuations, variations, and final accounts.\n\n * Provide accurate cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.\n\n * Ensure contracts comply with statutory, regulatory, and procurement requirements.\n\n * Support procurement activity, tender evaluations, and contract mobilisation.\n\n * Carry out site visits, cost assessments, and quality checks.\n\n * Provide professional QS advice to operational teams and senior management.\n\n * Contribute to continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and value‑for‑money initiatives.\n\nAbout you:\n\n * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing, construction, repairs, or maintenance.\n\n * Strong knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR), JCT, and NEC contracts.\n\n * Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.\n\n * Confidence managing contractor relationships and challenging costs.\n\n * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
