Conrad Consulting are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a major long-term project based in Ayrshire.

\n\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a complex project environment, working with key stakeholders and supporting the successful delivery of commercial objectives.

\n\n

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing commercial activities, supporting cost control, contract administration, and ensuring effective project delivery.

\n\n

Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

\n\n

\n\t
• Managing subcontractor packages and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle

\n\t

• Supporting cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting

\n\t

• Managing valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts

\n\t

• Supporting contract administration and commercial governance

\n\t

• Working collaboratively with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders

\n\t

• Providing commercial insight and support to ensure successful project outcomes

\n

\n\n

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:

\n\n

\n\t
• Strong Quantity Surveying / Commercial experience

\n\t

• A background within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar complex project environments

\n\t

• Experience working with NEC4, JCT and ICHEME contracts

\n\t

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

\n\t

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

\n\t

• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently

\n

\n\n

Role Summary:

\n\n

Location: Ayrshire
\nDuration: 6 months initially, with possibility of extension
\nRate: Up to £65 per hour
