Senior Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nExperience Level: Senior (5+ years)\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our established consultancy team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering cost management and contract administration services across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, education, and public sector schemes.\n\nThis position offers the opportunity to work with prestigious clients, mentor junior staff, and progress towards Associate/Director level within the practice.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead the delivery of pre- and post-contract cost management services.\n\n * \n\n Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, cost planning, and value engineering.\n\n * \n\n Manage procurement, tendering, and contract administration (JCT/NEC).\n\n * \n\n Undertake risk management, financial reporting, and final accounts.\n\n * \n\n Provide strategic cost advice to clients and stakeholders.\n\n * \n\n Mentor and support junior surveyors and APC candidates.\n\n * \n\n Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business growth.\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n MRICS qualification is essential (Chartered Quantity Surveyor).\n\n * \n\n Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment.\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC.\n\n * \n\n Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.\n\n * \n\n Ability to lead teams and manage workloads effectively.\n\n * \n\n Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary: £55,000 – £80,000, depending on experience.\n\n * \n\n Car allowance, pension scheme, and private healthcare.\n\n * \n\n Hybrid/flexible working arrangements.\n\n * \n\n Paid professional fees and CPD support.\n\n * \n\n Clear career progression to Associate/Director level
