Their continued growth means they are now looking to expand their commercial team in Liverpool.\n\nYour new role\n Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team.
This position is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their QS career and be part of major long-term infrastructure and telecoms frameworks across the UK. Based in Liverpool, you will be responsible for supporting and managing costs across a variety of projects to ensure profitable delivery and high performance.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nAssisting with or leading the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts\n\nManaging subcontractor accounts and payments\n\nMonitoring project budgets and identifying potential risks or overspend\n\nAssisting in the negotiation of contracts and procurement of subcontractors\n\nProducing cost/value reports and forecasts to ensure financial control\n\nSupporting the Senior QS or Commercial Manager in reporting and strategy\n\nEnsuring compliance with company procedures, contract requirements, and best commercial practice\n\nMaintaining accurate records of all project-related financial information\n\nSupporting and liaising with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery\n\nWhat you will need to succeed:\n\nDegree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline\n\nPrevious experience in a QS or AQS role within utilities, infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction\n\nStrong understanding of contract law and standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, JCT)\n\nConfident communicator with strong negotiation and analytical skills\n\nProficient with MS Excel and cost management software\n\nA self-starter with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills\n\nUK driving licence ( but not essential for AQS applicants)\n\nWhat you get in return:\n\nCompetitive salary between £35,000 and £50,000 (DOE)\n\nAttractive benefits package including car allowance, pension scheme, and 25+ days holiday\n\nLong-term job security with a fast-growing business on nationally significant contracts\n\nOngoing training and professional development support, including RICS/APC pathways\n\nOpportunities to work on complex and high-value infrastructure projects\n\nFriendly, supportive team environment with clear progression paths\n\nHybrid/flexible working considered after probation period\n\nApply now to take the next step in your QS career with a forward-thinking infrastructure leader in Liverpool.
