The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Estimator / QS to produce accurate tenders, quotations, and early-stage cost advice for a variety of design and build projects! Working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, you’ll play a key role from pre-construction through to contract award - ensuring every bid is competitive, compliant, and commercially viable.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing detailed and accurate cost plans, tenders, and quotations.
• Liaising directly with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Producing professional proposal documents and supporting the pre-construction team with logistics and strategy.
• Managing multiple projects to strict deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Evaluating subcontractor tenders and preparing clear recommendation schedules.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, schedules, and technical specifications.
• Contributing to supply chain development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for:

• HNC/HND or Degree in Construction or related discipline ().
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar estimating or QS role, ideally within design & build, modular, or main contracting.
• Strong commercial awareness and a solid grasp of current construction rates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple tenders at once.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Knowledge of JCT D&B and NEC3 contracts is advantageous.
• Modular construction experience is a bonus - training can be provided.
