Quantity Surveyor

A multi-award-winning developer has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the QS will be responsible for delivering the best quality projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire at the best possible cost. Key Responsibilities & duties include: Follow cost control procedures and company policies Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports Manage budgets, valuations, and cost reconciliations Support design decisions to stay within budget Compile site start budgets with cross-department input Lead value engineering and site reviews Control development budgets and manage overruns Accurately cost site development Analyse costs and cash flow Prepare tenders and procure subcontractors/materials Manage subcontractor orders, payments, and variations Approve and track variations within budget Liaise with site teams and subcontractors Core Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Company Car or Car Allowance Hybrid & Flexible working Significant bonus Share save scheme Up to 10% company pension contribution 34 days annual leave Contracted hours: 37.5 hours per week Large selection of other benefits-in-kind Excellent opportunity for career progression Application Requirements: The successful applicant will currently be a Quantity Surveyor or an Assistant level QS with the desire to develop their professional skills and progress. It is beneficial for applicants to have experience within a housing developer but it's not essential, applicants from PQS are also encouraged.
