With style!\n\nThe role of the Quantity Surveyor is to play an active supporting part in the various commercial activities associated with a project and in conformity with company procedures as laid down from time to time.\n\nThe Project:\n\nIs a Grade 1 & 2 listed building that is being transformed into high end residential apartments There will be a total of 42 units across 3 blocks.
The project is valued at £92m.\n\nThe roof will be extended and turn into a penthouse and there will be a gym, spa and swimming people bult underground!\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\n• Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.\n\n• Provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Managing Quantity Surveyor.\n\n• Assistance with the procurement of Sub-Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers.\n\n• Contribution to the analysis of Sub-Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers tender returns.\n\n• Subject to the prior approval of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor and in accordance with company contractual arrangements, authorise payments in respect of interim and final applications for payment from Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers.\n\n• Preparation, co-ordination, and processing labour only payments.\n\n• Carry out building work take-offs, measurement and scheduling exercises and preparation of bills of quantities for the procurement and sub-letting processes.\n\nWe’re Looking For:\n\n * BSc in Quantity Surveying\n\n * Chartered member of RICS\n\n * JCT Contracts\n\n * Commercial knowledge\n\n * Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in Construction industry\n\nExample of Company Benefits (Dependent on role level)\n\n * Competitive Maternity, Adoption & Paternity Pay scheme\n\n * Medical Cover (Most pre-existing conditions are covered) – Dependent on role level\n\n * Competitive holiday allowances, starting with 25 + bank holidays and going up to 29 days + Bank holidays (dependant on length of service), Day off on your birthday also included!\n\n * Competitive pension scheme to help you for when you retire\n\n * Life Assurance (Paying 4* your salary)\n\n * Relevant professional membership fees paid and continued support with your professional growth and Learning.\n\n * Generous Staff referral scheme, paying up to £3,500\n\n * The opportunity to save up to 25% on your bike via the Cycle to work scheme\n\n * Discounts on 100's of retailers and Gyms\n\nFurther Information About the Role\n\nKindly be aware that this advertisement for our job vacancy may not encompass all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the role described.
