Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a long-term civils water project, based in Bournemouth. This is an office-based role, working within an established commercial team to support delivery of key water infrastructure schemes under a framework agreement



Key Responsibilities



Oversee commercial management of civils water works packages.

Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and compensation events.

Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow across multiple projects.

Lead subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and payment processes.

Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management and framework client.

Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements and company procedures.

Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure successful delivery. Requirements



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civils and water projects (essential).

Strong understanding of NEC contracts.

Excellent commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent experience.

Must be able to commit to an office-based role in Bournemouth.

Previous framework experience advantageous
