Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a leading pump rental and engineering solutions provider working across high-value infrastructure and industrial projects. They are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Liverpool, supporting complex subcontract and large-order project delivery across the region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially aware QS with strong NEC experience and a background in M&E contracting to step into a technically engaging, fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

* Manage the commercial control of multiple projects from award through to final account

* Lead subcontract procurement and onboarding – ensuring timelines, value, and compliance

* Monitor cost/value performance across subcontract works and large material orders

* Prepare and manage CVRs, forecasts, cashflow reports, and commercial registers

* Negotiate and settle variations, extensions of time, and other commercial changes

* Support the Project Manager in ensuring on-time, in-budget project delivery

* Lead commercial meetings and coordinate with stakeholders across Solutions and Installations

* Identify and drive improvements in pricing strategies and commercial processes

* Ensure commercial compliance with NEC 3 & 4 standards

* Maintain high-quality records and reporting across all commercial workstreams

Qualifications & Experience:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management – essential

* Experience working in M&E contracting environments – essential

* In-depth knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 subcontract forms

* RICS accreditation – desirable

* Strong communicator – confident dealing with senior stakeholders and suppliers

* Detail-oriented with strong commercial judgement and reporting skills

* Not suitable for candidates with housebuilding / residential experience

* Comfortable splitting time between office (Liverpool) and UK site visits

* Full UK driving licence – Company Car (Grade 1) provided

Summary

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Liverpool – 3 days office / 2 days on site

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £54,000 – £66,000 includes Bonus + Company Car

Start: Notice dependent
