Quantity Surveyor – Leading Principal Contractor\n\nLocation: East Midlands\nSalary: 50k/70k DOE\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established principal contractor with over 20 years’ experience delivering high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding remediation and regeneration projects across East Midlands. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.\n\nQuantity Surveyor Role\n\nReporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing and monitoring the commercial aspects of assigned contracts. Working closely with project management, finance, procurement, and estimating teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining compliance and quality standards.\n\nQuantity Surveyor Responsibilities\n\n * Manage and monitor project budgets, costs, and contract terms.\n\n * Work closely with Senior Surveyor, Senior Project Manager, and commercial teams.\n\n * Prepare valuations, CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and sales forecasts.\n\n * Oversee orders, deliveries, subcontractor approvals, and payments.\n\n * Ensure in-house project systems are regularly updated.\n\n * Attend site meetings and liaise with clients as required.\n\n * Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.\n\nSkills & Qualifications\n\n * Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with membership of RICS / CIOB (or working towards).\n\n * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.\n\n * Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets and forecasts.\n\n * Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Project.\n\n * CSCS card holder and DBS clearance (where required).\n\n * Strong organisational and communication skills.\n\nBenefits\n\n * 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays)\n\n * Company Pension\n\n * Private Medical Insurance\n\n * Life Assurance Scheme\n\n * Employee Assistance Programme\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects across East Midlands.\n\nApply today to take the next step in your career as a Quantity Surveyor.
