Activus Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established, multi-disciplinary construction company in Aberdeenshire, who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role



This role is suited to a driven and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in civil engineering or construction. You will play a key part in the financial and contractual management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.



Key Responsibilities include:

Preparing and submitting interim valuations and final accounts



*



Managing subcontractor procurement, appointments, and valuations



*



Cost reporting and forecasting, including CVR preparation



*



Identifying, pricing, and negotiating variations and change orders



*



Contract administration and client liaison



*



Carrying out regular site visits to monitor progress and costs



*



Preparing material requisitions and cost schedules



*



Supporting commercial strategy and ensuring financial control throughout projects



Personal Requirements



*



Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)



*



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering or construction sector



*



Strong understanding of contracts, commercial processes, and construction law



*



Excellent communication and negotiation skills



*



Strong analytical and numerical ability with a keen eye for detail



*



Highly organised and able to meet deadlines under pressure



*



Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software packages
