We're Hiring: Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager – Passive Fire Protection\nLocation: Manchester\nSalary: c£65,000 per annum + benefits\n\nThe Opportunity:\nMy client, a specialist in passive fire protection, is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to oversee the successful delivery of their growing portfolio of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, working across a range of high-quality, compliance-led fire protection works.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Oversee all commercial elements of assigned projects, from procurement and valuations to change control and final accounts\n\n * \n\n Maintain accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting throughout project lifecycles\n\n * \n\n Engage with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes\n\n * \n\n Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and practices\n\n * \n\n Ensure adherence to all regulatory, contractual, and health & safety requirements\n\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n✔ Demonstrable experience in passive fire protection – particularly firestopping and fire doors\n✔ Background in quantity surveying or commercial management, ideally within the construction or fire safety sectors\n✔ Strong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts\n✔ Excellent financial awareness, attention to detail, and commercial insight\n✔ Confident communicator with sound negotiation skills\n✔ A proactive, problem-solving approach\n\nWhy Join?\nMy client offers a supportive, ambitious environment where your contribution is valued.
