Vacancy Summary\n\nJob Title: Quantity Surveyor\n\nJob Type: Permanent\n\nJob Ref: #1247\n\nLocation: London\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nSalary: c£60k-£65k basic plus competitive package inc car or allowance, health, bonus etc. \n\nCompany & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working alongside a well thought of Main Contractor operating across London who are looking to recruit an experienced an effective Quantity Surveyor to complement their Commercial Management team - the opportunity will be to join a team of surveyors on a large c£50m+ Leisure Centre project.\n\nThe opportunity has a clear pathway for progression with full support with further professional development and training.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project.\n\nProjects using both JCT and NEC contracts will form a part of the QS role at this business, therefore it would be advantageous for the successful individual to have experience with 1 or both forms of contract.\n\nDesirable Experience:\n\nMinimum 3 years+ experience (post graduation) as a QS.\nGood knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts would be advantageous.\nGood negotiation skills and previous experience procuring subcontractors would be advantageous.\nPrevious Roles: Assistant Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor OR Commercial Manager OR Assistant Commercial Manager OR Project Surveyor.\nQualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management/NVQ Level 6 or above, or comparable qualification.\n\nApplication Process: If you would like more information on this Quantity Surveyor position or any other vacancy please email your current CV through to Jess Quinn; where it will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 48 hours if your CV is of interest.\n\nServices advertised by Apple Technical Recruitment are that of an Employment Agency/Business
