Job Description

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that works in collaboration with local authorities and private companies on civils and infrastructure related projects in South Wales, Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. As part of this framework, they are delivering a project worth £12m with a scope of works that includes earthworks, drainage and culverts etc. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join one of their busy teams.\n\nAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a small team of up to 10 that includes other Assistant and Senior Quantity Surveyors.

You will be involved in (but not limited to):\n\nAccurate monthly forecasting\nProducing and sending enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors\nProducing monthly reports and cost value reconciliation\nChange control and producing compensation events\nProducing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications\nAttend weekly progress meetings \n\nRequirements including certificates and qualifications:\n\nDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent\n\nKnowledge and understanding of basic quantity surveying principles\n\nCandidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)\n\nCandidates must also be able to drive as the role will involve site visits\n\nThe successful candidate will be rewarded with an outstanding working environment, opportunities to progress whatever stage of your career as well as a package that gives you security and recognises your contribution to the business.\n\nIf you are interested in this role, please contact Malvin at Fawkes & Reece Southampton or use the link below
