Job Description

Quality Manager – Leeds\n\n£40,000 – £70,000 (DOE)\n\nA precision engineering manufacturer based in Leeds is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of product quality, quality systems and production support across their facility.\n\nThe successful candidate will oversee all aspects of quality within the site, working closely with production and sales teams to maintain the highest standards. This position will lead a small team of technical quality inspectors and ensure continued compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements, while driving ongoing improvement initiatives.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain and develop the company’s ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems\n\nMonitor product conformance and lead improvement activities\n\nSupport production and sales with technical quality issues\n\nInvestigate and manage non-conformances and customer complaints\n\nLiaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters\n\nProvide guidance and leadership to the quality inspection team\n\nSupport corrective and preventive action processes\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience within manufacturing, quality, engineering, or a related industrial environment\n\nProven experience maintaining documented quality management systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100)\n\nStrong communication and leadership skills\n\nExcellent problem-solving ability with a hands-on, proactive approach\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office\n\nFull UK driving licence and flexibility to travel occasionally\n\nDesirable:\n\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Quality or Industrial Engineering\n\nBackground in aerospace or precision component manufacturing\n\nExperience with SPC, PPAPs, FAIs, and mechanical component inspection\n\nThis role would suit a driven Quality professional looking to lead a small team within a well-established engineering environment, with genuine scope to influence and improve quality processes across the business.\n\nBy applying for this position, you consent to Recruit Engineering processing and storing your personal data, including your CV, contact details, and any other relevant information, for the purpose of providing work-finding services.
