Our client is a growing manufacturer that needs to bolster their Quality Department because of increased growth and product demand.
Summary:
Responsible for site management of the Quality Assurance function, including quality assurance, quality control, technology development, and the chemical laboratory. This role communicates with customers and suppliers, oversees customer and third-party audits, and ensures proactive defect mitigation and continuous improvement to the quality management system and product quality.
Essential Functions:
-Lead planning and oversight of the site Quality Management System.
-Establish laboratory standards for safety, on-time delivery, quality, cost control, and productivity.
-Manage quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory activities.
-Support staffing, training, and performance needs within the Quality Assurance organization.
-Serve as ISO, AS, and NADCAP management representative.
-Act as Facilities Compliance Officer (FCO).
-Lead development and customer qualification of new technologies, products, and processes.
-Ensure adherence to ISO, AS, and NADCAP standards.
-Review customer specifications for order accuracy and acknowledgement.
-Manage internal quality audits, corrective and preventative action programs, and supplier audit programs.
-Oversee customer and third-party audits and visits.
-Develop and manage budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-reduction initiatives.
-Support engineering projects related to capacity expansions, new technologies, and equipment improvements.
-Effectively communicate company goals, achievements, and policies while enforcing compliance.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor"s degree in a technical or engineering discipline; advanced degree .
-Minimum of 10 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Proficiency in MS Office applications; SAP experience .
-Metals industry experience (titanium or related alloys) strongly .
-Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge of ISO, AS, and NADCAP standards.
