Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, and materials.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and report non-conformances; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures throughout the production process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field .
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with inspection tools and software (e.g., CMM, SPC, ERP systems).
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
