Quality Inspector/Technician

Shift: 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process items, and final products to confirm they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Interpret inspection guidelines, work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine the correct inspection methods for product acceptance.
  • Provide technical feedback to engineering teams regarding discrepancies and potential improvements.
  • Accept or reject parts based on inspection results and document findings in accordance with Quality Management System procedures.
  • Must be proficient in using basic measurement tools, such as Micrometers, Calipers, and Height Gauges. Experience operating automated inspection equipment, such as a CMM or Faro Arm, is .
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed to meet production demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in completing First Article Inspections in AS9102 format.
  • Capable of conducting Root Cause Analysis for both internal and external non-conformances.
  • Willingness to train other team members as needed.

Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and objectively, both in writing and verbally, across all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on workload demands.
  • At least 1 year of experience in precision manufacturing; experience with sheet metal, welding, and machining fabrication is .
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints, with a working knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5M-2009) principles being a plus.
  • Basic understanding of shop mathematics, with a willingness to learn geometric propositions and trigonometric functions. Knowledge of sheet metal flat pattern development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with statistical sampling plans such as ANSI Z1.4 and C=0.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, is .
