QUALITY INSPECTOR

Orange, CA
Mon –Fri
7 am to 4 pm

$19.00-21.00/hour

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Perform functional electrical test, visual or mechanical inspection in operations such as incoming, in-process, final acceptance and special testing.
  • Following general inspection guidelines, conduct critical, non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical and electrical tests on a variety of products.
  • Monitor product quality and reject parts not meeting defined quality standards.
  • Perform product and system audits in a variety of departments and inspections.
  • Support other Quality functions as needed, such as QC shipping audit, Document Scanning, Incoming Inspection etc.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Vision must be adequate to conduct accurate inspections, with or without microscope.
  • Must be able to use microscope and tweezers during most of work shift.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time while working (approximately 2/3 of shift).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis daily.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written directions with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience required.
  • Must be familiar with PC, MS Word and Excel.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Ability to use microscope throughout shift to inspect parts.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination to manipulate ultra-miniature, fragile parts with tweezers throughout shift.
  • Duties will occasionally necessitate reaching overhead, standing, walking, bending, balancing, stooping, climbing stairs, pushing a cart, lifting and carrying.

 

HAZARDOUS MATERIAL HANDLING:

 

Employees in this classification are required to work with hazardous materials, including:

Isopropyl Alcohol; Developer; Table Top Cleaner

 

Familiarization Training in the safe use of these materials and appropriate safety rules/PPE is required, plus annual refresher training.
