Duration: 12-month contract with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule: First shift, 4/10 schedule
Pay Rate: $37.00/hour on W-2
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent status required
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to support manufacturing production and supplier-quality activities. This onsite role will investigate quality concerns involving supplied parts and materials, document defects accurately, and partner with suppliers and internal teams to drive timely resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Responsibilities
- Respond to quality concerns involving supplied parts and materials on the manufacturing floor.
- Document defects, discrepancies, and nonconformances accurately and completely.
- Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, models, designs, drawings, and procedures.
- Partner with supplier quality representatives to analyze and disposition nonconforming materials.
- Support onsite supplier activities and coordinate defect-resolution efforts.
- Use Tableau dashboards, production metrics, and predictive analytics to identify quality trends and recommend next steps.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in the Clearwater/Oldsmar, FL area.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent status is required.
Qualifications
- Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, product quality, or quality assurance engineering.
- Experience with Tableau or other data-visualization tools for quality tracking and production reporting.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques, engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Familiarity with machining, manufacturing, and production processes.
- Experience with electrical assembly commodities, including circuit card assemblies (CCAs), cabling assemblies, and box-level components.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-A-620, or related aerospace/electronics quality standards.
- Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.
