We're actively seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for an immediate opening in Hialeah, FL. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.Key Responsibilities
- Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and ensure inspection methodology is in line with drawing intent
- Work within the Quality Management system and undergo basic training on policies and procedures
- Ability to read and understand drawings to pull the dimensions to create Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
- Understanding of what inspection equipment and methodology would be needed to effectively measure/inspect different mechanical parts
- Ability to work in SAP to upload the ITPs for each part where one is created
Required Qualifications
- Previous mechanical inspection experience
- Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection plans and protocols
- Experience with the use of precision measurement tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings
- Ability to work effectively within a quality management system
Qualifications
- Certified or previously certified in GD&T ASME Y-14.5
- Experience with AS9102 (FAI)
- Experience with SAP or ERP system
- Experience with Certification of Conformance
- Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
- 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed.Note:
