Quality Technician / Inspector - Manchester, CT

Pay: $22.00-$25.00/hour + 5% Shift Differential

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, Wednesday-Sunday (Monday & Tuesday Off)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician / Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Manchester, CT. This position is responsible for performing inspections on precision-machined metal parts, documenting inspection results, and ensuring products meet customer and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections of machined metal parts.
  • Use inspection tools and gauges to verify parts meet specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Record and document inspection results accurately in company quality systems.
  • Review inspection data and identify non-conforming products.
  • Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
  • Maintain detailed quality records to support customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate quality concerns and inspection findings with production and engineering teams.
  • Assist with containment activities and corrective actions when quality issues arise.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain an organized work area.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience inspecting machined or metal components required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience using common inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate inspection records.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, medical device, automotive, or other precision manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and quality documentation.
  • Technical degree or quality certification is a plus.
