Quality Inspector - Machine Shop, Floor / Inprocess

Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsibilities:

* Perform 1st article and final inspections against latest drawing requirements (unless otherwise specified) and complete appropriate documentation

* Notify Shop Manager of any nonconforming parts

* Complete work in accordance with production schedule

* Keep work area clean and organized; follow all safety procedures

* Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent communication skills for effective exchange of information

* Use of Dial Indicators, V-calipers, Micrometers, Depth Mic, Profilometers, Optical Comparator, and Thread Gages

* Excellent part set-up skills

* Understanding of Ansi Y14.5 GD&T tolerances a plus

* Excellent computer based software knowledge

Physical Requirements:

* Good manual dexterity to work with small parts and tools

* Excellent eye-hand coordination

* May be required to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs

* Involves extended periods of sitting or standing

* Must be reliable

* Involves reaching with hands and arms, crouching and balancing

Experience:

* Experience in the Aerospace / Defense industry strongly
