\n The responsibility of the Quality Inspector is to conduct various internal quality functions in support of quality, customer, production, engineering and purchasing requirements. \n
\n
\nSummary of Duties: \n
\n• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. Average inspection time per month. \n
\n• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. \n
\n• Inspects incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials using company's non-conforming material processing procedure. Average inspection time per part received - 15 minutes. Non-conforming material processing - 15 minutes per NC. \n
\n• Performs Final Product Inspections including IQT306 Inspections (dimensional inspections). \n
\n• Delivery Inspections (C of C) and becoming EASA Part 21 Signature Approved for SVS-FR products \n
\n• Proficient use of basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, comparators, surface plate tools, etc. \n
\n• Become a Customer Approved Source Inspector as needed \n
\n• Support various NCR, Deviation and CPAR processing activities as needed \n
\n• Develop Internal Auditing skills for becoming a SVS-WA Internal Auditor \n
\n• Support Internal FAI related activity as needed \n
\n• Support Document Control activities as needed \n
\n• Support OEM on quality related issues. \n
\n• Some travel may be required \n
\n• Other activities as determined necessary \n
\n

\nExperience: 0-3 years working in the aviation industry.\n
\nComputer Skill: Familiar with Windows Operating System®.\n

\n• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is .\n

\n• Capability of learning how to read engineering drawings for performing various product inspections (Final and Receiving inspections).\n

\n• Must possess ability to use precision measuring instruments. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is .\n

\n• Ability to effectively use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. Identify problems with some solving capabilities.\n
\n• Good repair electro-mechanical inspection and troubleshooting skills.\n
\n• Read and understand CMM', AMM's, SB's, AD's and drawings, technical publications, regulatory requirements and schematics.\n
\n• Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail.\n
\n• Identify problems and solve them independently, work with little to no supervision.\n
\n
\nLevel 3\n
\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.\n
\nExperience: 8+ years\n
\nComputer Skill: Intermediate skills with Microsoft office: Windows Operating System®, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior use of and advanced abilities within an ERP system.\n
\nOther Skills:\n
\n• Thorough electro-mechanical assembly knowledge and troubleshooting skills.\n
\n• Read and understand CMM', AMM's, SB's, AD's and drawings, customers technical publications, regulatory requirements and schematics.\n
\n• Strong knowledge of the product and attention to details.\n
\n• Training skills for both classroom and OJT training.\n
\n• Ability to handle and schedule multiple projects, schedule and assignments with the inspection team.\n
