Quality Inspector in Hayes, London

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to carry out detailed inspection of aircraft components. You will use precision measuring tools and the company SAP system to record the condition of each part and create accurate repair route sheets. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in engineering inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Complete detailed inspections using the latest standards and inspection equipment.
Record all findings in the Repair Order and SAP system.
Create or update repair route sheets in SAP where required.
Perform precise measurements of components using analogue measurement equipment such as micrometers, callipers, and other tools.
Follow production priorities and deadlines set by Production Control.
Work closely with Technical Engineering and other departments when needed.
Maintain your Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
Measuring is in imperial.
Experience & Skills
Experience within aerospace engineering or a similar engineering environment.
Previous mechanical component inspection background.
Precision engineering experience .
Experience using SAP systems (advantageous).
Good understanding of inspection tools and methods.
Ability to read manuals and technical guidelines.
Good unaided or aided vision to detect defects.
Education & Qualifications
Engineering qualification or aerospace apprenticeship (desirable).
Other Requirements
Ability to lift heavy components occasionally.
Able to sit for extended periods when inspecting or working on documentation.
Must have the full right to live and work in the UK.
Shift: Double days (Monday to Friday)
Week 1 6am - 2pm
Week 2: 2pm - 10pm
Pay:
From £29,900 + Shift allowance (£3,920)
