Job Title: Quality Inspector - Automotive Department\n\n Location: Birmingham\n\n Department: Paint\n\n Reports To: Quality Manager / Paint Department Supervisor\n\n Responsible For: Ensuring the quality and compliance of painted automotive components\n\n Working Hours & Pay Rates\n\nEarly Shift (06:00 - 14:00): £13.25 per hour\nLate Shift (14:00 - 22:00): £13.75 per hour\n\n Role Overview\n\nWe are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Inspector to join our Paint Department within a leading automotive manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards by inspecting painted components throughout the production process, ensuring they meet both customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nPerform visual and dimensional inspections of painted components at various production stages\nEnsure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards\nConduct paint quality audits, outflow checks, and packaging inspections\nAccurately document inspection results and maintain traceability records\nIdentify, contain, and escalate non-conforming products\nCollaborate with production teams to uphold quality standards and resolve issues\nSupport customer and supplier site inspections when required\nMaintain a clean and organised work environment in line with 5S principles\nProvide support across departments when needed\n\n Qualifications & Experience\n\nMinimum 1 year experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or automotive environment\nFamiliarity with industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001\nBasic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills\nFull UK driving licence required\nWillingness to undertake further training and development\n\n Skills & Attributes\n\nStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities\nProactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and organisational abilities \n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
