Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Inspector to take full ownership of our inspection and quality control processes.
This is a key role in our business - ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and wants to develop and lead the inspection area as part of a close-knit, family-run company. You’ll work with state-of-the-art metrology and inspection systems, ensuring our components meet exacting tolerances and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the inspection and quality assurance function within the business.
* Inspect precision components and tooling to tight tolerances for F1, motorsport, and aerospace customers.
* Operate, program, and maintain a wide range of inspection and measurement equipment.
* Verify components against engineering drawings, CAD data, and customer specifications.
* Accurately record, report, and communicate inspection results.
* Maintain calibration records and ensure all inspection equipment is in excellent working order.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure right-first-time quality.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in precision component inspection within a manufacturing or toolmaking environment.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional tolerances.
* Competent in using both manual and automated metrology equipment.
* CMM programming or operation experience (Mitutoyo, DEA, or similar systems).
* Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and inspection documentation.
* High attention to detail and a methodical, quality-driven mindset.
